For Vocalists auditioning as a Music Majors-

If you do not live in the neighborhood and would like to attend LPHS as a music majors, these auditions involve:

- Warm Up- We will start with a warm up where we can hear the full range and quality of your voice.

- Solo- Perform about 1 minute of a prepared solo piece that shows off your voice. You will perform this without accompaniment.

Joining Choir as a LPHS Student

There is no audition requirement to join choir if you are already admitted to the school, but we like to listen to students sing so we can place them in the choir that is the best fit for them. This can take place at any time but usually takes place at the beginning of the year as students are finalizing their schedules and in the spring when students start registering for the following year's classes. This would involve:

- Warm Up- We will start with a warm up where we can hear the full range and quality of your voice.

- Tonal Memory- We will play a series of notes on the piano and you will sing them back to us.

- Sight Reading- You will sing a short melody you haven't heard before. This will help assess your ability to read music.
